AT THE MATI ECO-PRIMARY SCHOOL, 280 STUDENTS ARE CURRENTLY BEING TAUGHT AND A PLAYGROUP. IN 2019 160 NEW STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED IN THE SCHOOL, AMONG THEM 88 ARE BOYS AND 72 ARE GIRLS.

The pupils are divided into classes 1-5. 2015 the sixth and seventh-grade class has been shuttled down. Because after passing from fifth grade, these students have to enroll in other government secondary high schools also to participate in the junior school certificate examination in class eight. After passing class five, the student who doesn’t enroll in any secondary high school can’t enroll in any high school after passing class seven examinations from Mati School. In this situation, it was tough for the students to continue two schools at almost the same time. There are 5 female and 3 male teachers.

Mati school students are involved in a small project called “School Gardening and Ecological Education Project”. They are working here jointly with neighborhood school students. With the help of Mati staff, they prepare organic pesticides, vermicompost by themselves. They are regularly taking care of the school gardens and nurseries such as using vermicompost on the field, watering, cleaning the weeds, staking trees, etc. To fulfill their family’s nutritional deficiencies, they also established a kitchen garden in their small yard. They can also earn money by selling the extra vegetables they sell in the local market.
