Health & Wash

In a country with a high poverty rate like Bangladesh, health care and WASH facilities are an unaffordable luxury for many people. Especially for the poor in rural areas who live on less than $US1/day – as the travel expenses, hospital admission and treatment costs, medication, time off work and/or looking after their families come at too great a cost. So many poor people go untreated for easily treatable illnesses and stay in a very much unhygienic community.
From the beginning, Mati is involved with various kinds of Health & Wash related programs. Between them, some are very much appreciated by the local community and international donors.
